Global Health Strategies: Project Management for International Campaigns

International Universal Health Coverage Day Campaign: UHC2030

Working in-house at the consultancy, Global Health Strategies as a Communications & Advocacy Manager, I was the lead and main client contact for UHC2030’s (led by World Health Organization) international advocacy campaign, called International Universal Health Coverage Day. The awareness day called upon governments to be accountable for creating strong, equitable health systems that leave no one behind.

Project management of the campaign included:

  • Writing the script and organizing a global kick-off call for the campaign that included high-profile, global health and development leaders

  • Managing multiple stakeholders, including leading progress and decision-making calls.

  • Leading the micro-grantee program, including judging applications and communicating with 89 organizations across 56 countries around grant-supported events.

  • Overseeing the campaign’s brand assets and collateral.

I also oversaw proactive media outreach and placement.
